 日本の天気 As an island country with quit おそなかい shape, Japan has quite large amount of rains annually while the 天気 in souther and norther regions are quite different as well. 梅雨 と　台風 are quite often in summer because we know the summer wind in The Pacific Ocean is from easter to wester in the easter shore of Asian and Japan receive many of the rain falls from The Pacific Ocean. In the 北海道　and norther regions the winter is long which is also a good place for skiing in winter while the southwestern and souther islands has temperature quite like my hometown near Shanghai which is mild and hot in summer. What's interesting is the mountain range makes Japan's weather in 中部　quite different with the raising of altitude, the weather are changed as well.  From my animation works that I watched before, many of them describes how hot the summer is and in anime people tend to not "buy a air conditioner" and just use electric fans which reminds me my summer vacation if I backed to my ...

 Dr. Jeffrey Angles's レクチャー Today, we attended an interesting lecture by Dr. Jeffrey Angles from Western Michigan University about life between two languages: English and Japanese. As a person who learned English as my second language and Japanese as my third language, many of the topics and experience that prof. Jeffrey shared have strongly resonate with my personal experience. For example, he said that sometimes we feel like our characteristics are shaped when speaking different languages and certain interesting points in literature can only be comprehended when you are reading the "original scripts".  Moreover, when talking about his experience in Japan, the festivals, cultural differences that he mentioned all sounds fascinating which enlightened him about certain philosophical thoughts. That's also the reason why I want to go abroad to "see the world" outside of my original circles in my native areas no matter in U.S or Japan. 

 春休みの日 春休みに　シアトルに　友達と　いっしょに　いって、高校の友達はワシントン大学の学生だから、シアトルで　友達に　会いました。でも、ノートルダムの春休みは　ワシントン大学の中間週なので、高校の友達は　たくさん時間が　なくて、いっしょに　外で　あそびませんでしたけど、友達のうちで、中華料理を　作って、ボードゲームを　いっしょで　あそびました。 そして、ワシントン大学に　行って、図書館とかくしょくを　見ました。ワシントン大学の桜は　とてもゆうめいだから、桜を　見たいですけど、シアトルは　今さむいから、桜が　なくて、ざんねんでした。 シアトルは　山が　たくさん　あるんので、きれいなしゃしんを　撮りました。シアトルの方が　サウスベンドより、たくさん　中華料理のレストランが　あるんですが、いつも　何か　おいしいものを　食べました。

  はる休みの日 春休みに　シアトルに　行って、何がおいしい食べものを　食べて、高校のクラスメイトに　シアトルに　会います。 来週の土曜日　ひこうきで　シカゴから　シアトルまで　行きます。サウスベンドの空港は　小さいから、チケットは　とても　高いて、シカゴから　行きます。 シアトルの方が、サウスベンドより、おもしろいて、にぎやかです。何が　おもしろい　ところが　たくさん　あるんので、友達と　いっしょに　あそびます。サウスベンドで　中華街が　ないけど、シアトルで　あるから、たくさん　おいしい　中華料理を　食べて、ミルクチーを　飲みて、カラオケを　うたいます。 そして、木曜日に　サウスベンドに　帰ります。友達　何が　しこどうが　あるんので、としょかんで　べんきょうして、りょうで　せんたくを　します。
